CORK FACT SHEET
Wanderlust Creatures uses cork to make our Push Pin Travel Maps.
Cork comes from the bark of the Quercus Suber, commonly called the Cork Oak. This tree is a medium-sized, evergreen oak tree native to southwest Europe and northwest Africa. The majority of cork forests and harvests are done in Portugal and Spain.
Cork Oaks are harvested from the trunk every nine years, once they reach maturity. It doesn't harm the tree, and the cork bark
regrows after it has been harvested.
